Maintenance and Repair
At Quayside Associated Services we actively promote an economical approach to container repair and maintenance. We believe that wherever possible a damaged area should be straightened and/or welded above replacement. Equally, if component replacement is absolutely necessary, again we will first consider a partial replacement or insert as opposed to complete panels and component replacement.
Regardless of how large or small the repair, all our work is strictly carried out to meet all requirements of ISO standards - the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC)
Although not a specific requirement of all our customers, our repair work is also conducted to IICL5 specifications.
Able to undertake major insurance repairs , our depot is approved by Bureau Veritas of London.
All damaged equipment is photographed, and immediately uploaded to our customer's database. A unique feature of the STREAMTEXT system allows customers to reply and interact with our surveyor from the comfort of their PC. The system also allows QA Services to open a live video link with our customers M&R representative to enable them to view damaged containers from every angle to assist in prompt decisions. A particularly handy feature when surveying containers on Terminals, onboard vessels or on trailers etc.
